We have a few simple rules to follow as far as general conduct goes while a member of Abyss. Remember you wear the guild tag and everything you do reflects on us as a guild as a whole. We are all trying to have fun, make friends and progress thru World of Warcraft.
--We have a zero drama environment...this isn't high school, if you want to cause trouble you won't be in this guild for very long.
--Respect others in Abyss, if you have issues with someone we expect you to talk it out with them in tells before officers become involved. Every complaint we get is taken seriously and will be dealt with accordingly.
--You will treat everyone outside of the guild with at least some respect. Everything you do reflects the guild in some way.
--Things can sometimes get crazy on Ventrilo, we are a guild of mostly adults and as such there is plenty of crude humor, cursing and general shinanigans involved in vent. There is also trash talking fairly often in a friendly manner with other members, take none of it personally though as it's all in good fun. While there is nothing wrong with any of this please remember not to get overly crazy with it.
(If we do get complaints the first time we will ask you to tone it down, second complaint gets you a vacation from the vent server.)
--Members in Abyss are permitted to use our Ventrilo server and Website at their discretion for things such as guild raids, 5 mans, 10 mans, PvP, ect ect. These things are for guildies only. You are never to give out any information that may lead to people from outside Abyss gaining access to these things. The vent server is not a hang out place for all of Undermine. We have had a few cases of our server being bombed, and handed out like answers to a science quiz. You will be removed without question if you violate this policy.
--We are a raiding guild with goals for long term progression, and as such we expect every member of Abyss to help towards this goal. Giving leeway for real life, school, work, kids, binge drinking...whatever, we still expect every member of Abyss to spend as much time as possible doing something for the betterment of the guild as a whole. This can be as easy as simply attending raids, sitting backup, gathering materials for the guild, running arena with guild members or anything else that helps us in some way as a group progress. Individuals with goals for advancing your own character and nothing else will not be welcome in Abyss.
--If you know you will be gone for more than 3 days leave us a post on the Going AFK... thread in our forums on this site. This lets us know you will be gone and will stop us from removing you for inactivity. The average time we allow for inactivity before being removed from guild is 3 days for recruits and 20 days for members and above. If you are removed for inactivity and it was because something tragic happened and you couldn't let us know you will most likely be re-invited without any problems. Members and above will be demoted to "Casual" and will be replaced for sake of class balance.
--You will not apply to another guild while in the Abyss. If you want to leave the guild for whatever reason that's fine, no hard feelings, but please be good about it and disband before shopping yourself around. If found to be apping around while still in Abyss you will be removed.
--The guild bank is a collection of items that are farmed by the guild, for the guild. Anyone who wishes to abuse the power they have over our guild bank will find themselves guildless and looking for a new home. The guild bank is not a place to dump your trash and unwanted junk. We shouldn't have to tell you everything that you should and shouldn't put in the bank, just looking at the tabs for a certain type of item can answer that question easily. Consistently putting items in the guild bank after being asked not to will not go without consequences.
If an officer suspects you of being a ninja you WILL be removed from the guild no questions asked immediately and in most cases wont be considered for a reinvite.
